This easy and enjoyable trek in the Pokhara region offers good mountain views, including Machhapuchhare and Annapurna without long trekking days or long steep ascents. This trek is ideal for those who have never tried trekking before and is suitable for families. This trek is a type of experience trek in life. This trek is suitable for old aged peoples above 60 or small family members. This trek is also suitable for short and easy trek seekers. This short trek follows the path along the foothills of Annapurna, north of Pokhara valley. The Royal Trek is so-named because Prince Charles and his 90 person entourage had explored this route in early eighties. Starting from Kalikastan ridge, about 25 km from Pokhara the trek passes through beautiful Gurung villages and terraced farmland overlooking magnificent Annapurna range, Machapuchhere [fishtail peak] Langtang Himal etc. and finally end at Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City. This trip is basically recommended for the beginners or those who have very limited time looking for an opportunity to experience the taste of trekking holidays in the Himalaya. The entire trek is rather easy with occasional up and downhill walks along the ridges and valleys without having to worry about altitude and acclimatization as the maximum ascent on this trek is Chisapani at 2194 meter. However, this is also a good option to extend cultural tour of Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan by combining this trek to get the overall taste of Nepal. Royal trek trekking trip includes tour of Kathmandu and Pokhara city (The most 2 famous tourist hub in Nepal). Second day tour of Kathmandu city will include complete sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley which includes Kathmandu Durbar Square (Known as Hanuman dhoka Durbar square or Basantapur durbar) including Kastamandap ( building made by one tree), Living goddess- Kumari House, Many temples including Shiva Parvati, Taleju Bhawani, Kaal Bhairav etc. We further visit to Swoyambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa (the biggest stupa in the World) & Pasupatinath temple (Hindus temple). All these 4 Monuments of Kathmandu city is listed in UNESCO world Heritage sites and this is about 6 hours tour for second day of your trip.
Pokhara, the second largest city after Kathmandu is gateway for Annapurna and Mustang trekkers which one of best city in Nepal due to Beautiful Lake- Fewa & Awesome Annapurnas and fishtail mountain ranges. Sightseeing of Devi’s fall, hiking to world peace Stupa, caves, white water Georges are some of tourist’s attractions in Pokhara city.
